We go by department to show you how your job may be impacted by AI
Using departments in large companies or small businesses that have 50 employees, we imagine how these sectors may be disrupted and how you can prepare. You can easily extrapolate from our structure of 50 how this might play out in your company.
While we can't predict what will happen, there is a clear theme in the elimination of jobs that rely on analysis, review and/or administration of any type. Roles that tend to be safe or ripe for restructuring are more senior and managerial and often require higher level strategy and creative.
An interesting element is the addition of an IT person to each firm/department. The tech needs of these departments and small businesses will require more attention than one or two people that handle servers, software licenses, security et al for an entire org. These IT folks will be specialized and in charge of making sure the latest developments are integrated into the team's workflow. This role will be a key hire requiring a person that understands the strategic and tactical need of the department/business.
